Here is an easy-to-do whipped cream recipe that can be prepared quickly. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup cold heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 

METHOD

  • Take a chilled metal bowl and add granulated sugar, vanilla extract and cream to it. Beat until the cream becomes thick and fluffy.
  • Use an electric whisk or hand to mix the cream at high speed until it creates soft or firm peaks. It will take approximately 2-3 minutes. Periodically stop the mixer to adjust the stiffness of the peaks.

Note: Once you remove the whisker from the bowl of whipped cream, it should form slumps on the side which means whipped cream is in the soft peak stage. This is the sign of perfect whipped cream. 

Is it okay to freeze the whipped cream? 

Yes, it is absolutely okay to freeze the leftover whipped cream. Simply add some of the whipped cream to a baking sheet, then transfer them to a freezer bag for long-term storage. 

Frozen homemade whipped cream can be stored in the freezer for about three months. If you want to use frozen whipped cream, add a tablespoon directly to a cup of hot coffee or cocoa or leave to stand at room temperature for approximately 10 minutes for defrosting.

How long does the homemade whipped cream remain fresh?

Homemade whipped cream is best to serve immediately, however, it remains fresh for three days when you keep it in the refrigerator.
