The festival of Holi, or any festival for that matter, hits differently if you are a bachelor who is living away from home. There is no buzzing or kitchen rush since morning on the festival day, no fragrance of freshly fried gujiyas, and no stocked snacks waiting for guests. But that never means that the festival has to feel dull. Organising a Holi party in a bachelor's apartment is generally about loud music, a group of a few close friends with limited utensils, and a budget.

On such occasions, keep the food simple, that is, easy to grab and go. You do not need a long grocery list or any fancy equipment. With basic pantry staples that you already have in the kitchen drawer, a short run to the store, and a little prep, you can make snacks that will feel festive. These easy snacks that bachelors can make for the Holi party are all about saving money, time, and still celebrating the festival to the fullest.

Tandoori Chicken Loaded Nachos

Tandoori chicken-loaded nachos can be your safest flex if planning to host a Holi party. You do not need to possess chef craftworks for this, just the basic everyday pantry staples that are always available in any bachelor's house, like chips, cheese, tomato, onion and some ready tandoori chicken. Simply layer, bake, serve, that’s it. Loaded nachos will be finished in a blink, and everyone will be gathered around the bowl to have it before you can even serve it nicely on the plate.

Chilli Paneer Sliders

If you are someone who is left with very minimal groceries, just grab paneer, sauces, and bread from any grocery store nearby. Toss the cubed paneer in chilli sauce, sauté it quickly, and stuff it generously into toasted buns or breads, whatever you get; there is no hard and fast rule, and you will be done by the time your friends take a tour of your house. Chilli paneer sliders are filling enough, and they can be enjoyed as handheld bites, making them perfect for Holi snacking.

Dahi Puri Platter

Get a ready-made pani puri shell from a nearby chaat corner, arrange them neatly on a plate, and fill them with chilled curd, imli chutney, mint chutney, chopped onions, and sev, to make a Holi party snack in just minutes. Not only this, but you can also make a little chaat counter where everyone can make their own plate, depending on their choices.

Chocolate Gujiya Bites

No, you do not have to make one, relax.  Buy readymade gujiyas as they are a festival staple, and you can get them easily anywhere. Hereafter, simply melt some chocolate, dip the gujiyas in it, garnish with some nuts (whatever you have, even if you have none, no problem), and keep them chilling in the refrigerator, and that’s all. You just need gujiya and chocolate to melt, and no chef-like skill to make. For a Holi party, you will still manage to get that festive, traditional sweet, reminding you of home, making you miss it a little less.
