It’s all about the festive spirit in India right now. While on one hand, Hindus are celebrating Chaitra Navratri, Muslims on the other hand are observing the holy month of Ramadan. This auspicious month of fasting and praying began on April 2 and shall end on May 2 with Eid-al-Fitr to be celebrated the very next day. Ramadan is celebrated by observing a day-long fast until sunset, known as Roza, for the whole month. During this time, people abstain from having all kinds of food and drinks, even water. The only eating period during this festival is before sunrise (known as Sehri) and after sunset (known as Iftar). Muslims all around the country are observing this holy fast, even our own celebrities are no different.

Gauahar Khan is one of the celebrities observing Roza in the holy month of Ramadan. But even though she is fasting all through the month, the model and TV personality isn’t shying away from busting myths about the rituals around the festival. She has been taking to Instagram to share short clips educating people about Ramadan. In her latest Reel, Gauahar highlighted what people think about how people fasting during Ramadan feel at the mention of food, versus how it actually is. Take a look at her video:

In her funny video, we could see a table full of mouth-watering delicacies including fresh fruits, a jar of what looks like a rose sherbat along with some crispy tidbits. Gauahar comes in dressed in a salwar-suit and head scarf, panting in front of the food as the text read, "What people think we feel like looking at food in roza". Then Gauahar began to dance to the beats and the text changed to, "We actually never feel a thing! And can cook, serve, and resist just fine. Ramadan (heart emoji)." Isn’t that a great way to educate people about the fasting period?

"To everyone who Loves my #ramadan content, big hug! Drop a heart for all the rozedaars!" Gauahar captioned the video. Many found the content quite relatable. Actor Zeeshan Ayyub wrote “So true”, while another said, "Yeah we get so much sabr (patience) in roza. Perfectly explained." Another fan wrote, "I like your Ramzan videos."
