Subway, the global food chain has recently been in the news for announcing a new dessert menu for the first time in six decades. According to Douglas Fry, president of Subway, North America, the new dessert category of Subway is specially curated as a stable introduction to the menu, and it is not a limited edition. The new dessert menu was introduced to the USA crowd on January 22nd, 2024. The new menu items result from a successful growth story and hard work, gifting something better to Subway fans.

While everyone is excited about the new menu items' debut, some fans are arguing online that introducing new dessert options in the menu will dilute the franchise's main purpose, which is serving healthy fast food snacks. Comments like "out here destroying their reputation as 'healthy fast food'" and "Glad to see they are doing their part to improve the obesity epidemic" can be spotted online.

Subway joints are now offering a Cinnabon Footlong Churro for $2, an Auntie Anne's Footlong Pretzel for $3, and a Footlong Cookie priced at $5 for people to try.

The Cinnabon Footlong Churro is priced at just $2. This footlong is inspired by Subway's iconic footlong concept and the classic taste of Cinnabon's renowned cinnamon treats. You can expect a satisfying sweetness with cinnamon spice as you devour the pastries. The exterior is soft and flavourful with the right crispy texture. It is not too wet and not too mushy.

The Auntie Anne's Footlong Pretzel ($3) with Honey Mustard Sauce is expected to pick up as one of the Subway popular. It is priced at $3 and comes with Subway's honey mustard sauce. The Auntie Anne's Footlong Pretzel promises a combination of a soft, chewy texture similar to DisneyLand pretzels. The honey mustard sauce provides a tangy and savoury element, defying all the standards.

For those with a sweet tooth, Subway is offering a Footlong Cookie, priced at $5. Many people are excited about the cookie, too. This dessert is a timeless favourite and will be in a foot-long elongated form. The Footlong Cookie is a classic chocolate chip cookie and is known for its gooey and chewy texture. Comments like "Now wait a minute subway…the cookies be hitting a foot long is wild tho .... I'll take two" are blowing up the internet.

People are very excited and enthusiastic about sharing their reviews online, giving strong opinions about Subway's new releases. Either way, Subway is in talks for releasing the iconic new dessert menu one should try.

In 1965, Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck launched Subway as Pete's Super Submarines in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It was eventually renamed Subway in 1972 after changing multiple names in the early years. A franchise operation started in 1974 with the opening of a second location in Wallingford, Connecticut.

The franchise has now become a global sensation with one of the most popular stores worldwide. It has 36,592 stores worldwide surpassing Baskin Robins and Mcdonalds.
