- Green Mutton

Green Mutton or Hariyali Mutton Curry is essentially mutton cooked in a green masala mix. To make it, one needs mutton, yoghurt, turmeric powder, and salt as per taste. And for the green masala, which must be ground into a paste, one needs coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, poppy seeds, cashew nuts, cardamom, cloves, green cardamoms, and pepper.
Mutton comes with several health benefits. Being low in saturated fats and calories, and high in protein, which helps build muscle mass, it may aid weight loss, depending on one’s lifestyle. It's high in iron which boosts immunity and in Vitamin B12 which aids in the cells’ energy production. Its high potassium content also regulates blood pressure and maintains cell functions.
The coriander and mint leaves giving the dish its colour are also packed with health benefits. Coriander leaves may regulate blood pressure, are rich in immunity-boosting antioxidants, benefit heart and brain health, aid in digestion and promote gut health, help fight infections, and protect one’s skin. They're also an accessible and easy ingredient to add to one’s diet. Likewise, mint leaves are rich in nutrients that energise and protect the body, they may help with irritable bowel syndrome and generally aid with indigestion, lead to better brain function, alleviate symptoms of cold, and mask bad breath. They're also easily added to one’s diet.
