Chicken curry originates from the Indian subcontinent and is popular across much of the world, especially Great Britain. A variety of spices are cooked in a tomato and onion sauce, and are left to simmer in the puree. Within India, there’s naturally much regional variation in the recipe for this dish, but everyone agrees that it must have spices galore, and fresh, succulent chicken. It can be enjoyed with rice or roti and is a staple across much of the country.

The creamy and flavourful chicken curry’s taste is only amplified by the addition of the highly absorbent and soft mushrooms. To make the dish, one needs onions, garlic, cashews, yoghurt, tomato puree, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, oil, skinless chicken, and mushrooms.

There are many reasons to incorporate mushrooms into one’s diet. They’re a rich source of potassium which helps regulate blood pressure. Its anti-inflammatory properties make one’s immune system stronger and counter serious diseases. Their antioxidants also reduce risk of hypertension and other disorders. Since they’re rich in fibre and protein, they may also prevent the development of serious health conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and more.
