Zobo Drink Recipe

A healthy drink prepared from dried hibiscous flower and fruits.Zobo (Zoborodo) is a Nigerian beverage made from dried Roselle plant flowers. The drink is also known as Roselle drink and called Sorrel drink in the Carribean.

Ingredients for Zobo Drink Recipe

  • 400 gram Dried Hibiscus Flowers
  • 1 No.s Very Ripe and Sweet Pineapple
  • 2 No.s Sweet Oranges
  • 2 inch Ginger root
  • 1 cup Pure Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 10 cup Water

Directions: Zobo Drink Recipe

  • STEP 1.Rinse hibiscous flower and put it into a bowl

  • STEP 2.Then add pineapple slices to it
  • STEP 3.Transfer hibiscous flower and pineapple into a cooking pot. Add in ginger, orange, cinnamon powder, ground cloves ,honey and water.
  • STEP 4.Cover and boil it for 25 mins. Turn off the flame and keep it aside for 2-3 hours.
  • STEP 5.Strain the juice with a sieve and serve.
