Ingredients for Zero Oil Shahi Bharwan Aloo #BSK #SlurrpB7K1 Recipe

  • 1 Pieces Potato(big)
  • 1 Tbsp roasted chana dal powder
  • 1 Tbsp Roasted Almonds(crushed)
  • 1 Tbsp Roasted Cashews(crushed)
  • 1/2 Tbsp Roasted desiccated coconut
  • 1.50 Tbsp Cottage cheese or Soft Paneer(crushed)
  • 0.13 Tsp nutmeg and mace powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • 1/2 Tsp Ginger (crushed)
  • 1/2 Tsp Roasted coriander powder
  • 1 Tsp Boiled onion paste
  • 1.50 Tbsp Boiled Almonds paste (without skin)
  • 1.50 Tbsp Boiled Cashews paste
  • 1.50 Tbsp Boiled melon seeds paste
  • 1 Tbsp Yoghurt
  • 1/2 Tsp Honey
  • 0.13 Tsp Green cardamom powder
  • 0.13 Tsp Garam masala powder
  • As Required Saffron
  • 0.13 Cup Hot milk
  • 1/4 Cup Hot water
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp Ghee

Directions: Zero Oil Shahi Bharwan Aloo #bsk #slurrpb7k1 Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash and peel off Potatos. Cut into 2 parts. Boil until 80% done. Cool completely. Scoop out the middle portion of potatoes and make a hole. Sprinkle pinch of salt and brush little amount of melted Ghee all over the potatoes. Line in a baking tray and place into pre-heated Oven. Bake potatoes at 200°C for 20 min.
  • STEP 2.Heat 1/4 tsp of Ghee in a pan, add crushed Almonds, Cashews, desiccated Coconut, roasted chana dal powder, crushed soft paneer stir for 2-3 min. Lastly add Nutmeg & Mace powder & mix. Take out into a plate & keep aside. Filling is ready.
  • STEP 3.Fill the baked potatoes with prepared fillings & keep aside.
  • STEP 4.Soak 7-8 Saffron petals into hot milk for atleast 30 min.
  • STEP 5.Heat 1 tbsp of Ghee into a heavy base Steel vessel, add crushed Garlic & ginger sautee for 2 min. After that add boiled Onion paste & cook on low heat for 3 min. now add boiled Almonds, Cashews, Melon seeds paste, salt to taste, cover & cook for 10 min. on low flame. Check frequently & give a stir.
  • STEP 6.After that add smooth yoghurt & honey, mix properly. Cover & cook for another 5 min.
  • STEP 7.After that add 1/2 cup of hot water, cover & cook for 5 min. Do check the consistency of the gravy. Finally add green Cardamom powder, garam masala powder & soaked Saffron with milk, give a well mix until the gravy turns smooth & creamy. Gravy is ready.
  • STEP 8.Now Microwave the bharwan Aloo for 2-3 min.
  • STEP 9.In a serving dish, pour the prepared smooth & creamy gravy & place prepared stuffed potatoes(bharwan Aloo) in gravy. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves & Saffron petals. Enjoy the dish with fulkas or steamed rice.
