  • 2 tablespoon Mustard Oil
  • 1 Onions, Sliced
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • pinch A Pinch Of Saffron Strands
  • 1 cup Water
  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Clean and marinate the hilsa fish with turmeric powder and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat mustard oil in a pan and fry the fish until golden brown. Set aside.
  • STEP 3.In the same pan, add sliced onions, ginger-garlic paste, and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and saffron strands. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Add water and bring the gravy to a boil. Simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Gently place the fried fish into the gravy and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
