How to Make Xiao's Cola Tofu Recipe

step 1


In a wok heat 1 ltr oil on medium heat, add 450 gm tofu cut into bite size chunks and deep fry till light brown.

Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain the tofu. Keep aside.

step 3


In a saucepan add 700 ml cola, 2 thinly sliced cloves of garlic, 2 bay leaf, 1 star anise and bring to a boil.

step 4


When boiling add fried tofu, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce and continue to cook until all the liquid has almost completely evaporated. Transfer the dish to a plate and serve.
