  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped

  • 1 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the moong dal for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the dal until soft and mushy.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, onions, ginger, and garlic. Saute until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooked dal to the pan and mix well. Simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
