Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped vegetables, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 3.Add washed lentils, wheat rava, tamarind pulp, and water. Mix well and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
  • STEP 4.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and mix well. Serve hot with raita or papad.

  • You can add any vegetables of your choice like carrots, beans, peas, etc.
