Bati is a Rajasthan’s delicacy. These are round balls made of whole-wheat flour with salt & ajwain seeds., and are cooked either in gas tandoor or oven. My family loves to have these baatis with filling of potatoes, which gives a different twist.After these baatis are done they are dipped in ghee. And this is my mom’s recipe of stuffed potato bati do give it try once .

Ingredients for wheat flour aloo masala bati Recipe

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain
  • 1/2 tsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • As required Water
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • As required For filling
  • 1/2 nos large potato finely chopped
  • 1/2 nos green chilli chopped
  • As required Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp Ted chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • As required generous pinch of high
  • 1/2 tsp Fenel seeds
  • 0.13 tsp garam masala
  • 0.13 tsp amchur powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil
  • As required Other ingredients
  • As required Ghee

Directions: Wheat Flour Aloo Masala Bati Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take whole wheat flour add ajwain,ghee,salt and knead a soft dough with little water and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Now take a pan heat oil add cumin seeds and hing let it crackle.
  • STEP 3.Now add chopped potatoes,green chilli,fennel seeds with all spices except amchur powder mix well cover it or cook.
  • STEP 4.Once potatos are cook add amchur powder mix well and let it cool competely.
  • STEP 5.make balls with dough stuffed with potato mixture and cook it on gas over for 20 to 25 minutes on slow flame or oven for 180 c for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 6.when done dip batis in ghee..seve with dall or garlic chutney.
