Ingredients for Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork Bowl Recipe

  • 500 gram pork mince
  • 1 stalk lemongrass bruised and white part finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, finely sliced
  • 2 large mild chilies , finely sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sweet dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour mixed with 1 tsp water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 birds’ eye chili, finely sliced
  • 2 tablespoon roughly chopped coriander to serve
  • As required steamed rice to serve

How to Make Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork Bowl Recipe


Slice the onion and birds’ chilies. Mince the garlic and bruise them the lemongrass with the back of your knife and then freshly chop the lemongrass.


Take one tablespoon of the oil during a cooking pan or pan over high heat. Add the lemongrass, chili, and onion and stir-fry for two minutes. Then add the garlic. Move all the ingredients to the aspect of the pan and within the center add the remaining one tablespoon of oil.


Add the pork and stir-fry for two minutes or till virtually medium. Add the sugar, fish sauce, and sweet dark soy. Simmer for 3-4 minutes or till the liquid has the most gaseous. Stir through the amylum mixtures with pepper. Take away from heat.


Divide among serving bowls of rice and high with chili and coriander.
