Ingredients for Vermicilli upma Recipe

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 cup vermicilli
  • As Required Water
  • As Required → Salt - to taste
  • 1.50 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Musterd
  • 1/2 tsp Urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp Chana dal
  • 1/2 Pieces dry red chilli
  • handful Curry leaves
  • 1/2 Handful Penuts
  • 1/2 Pieces Ginger
  • 1 tbsp green chilli
  • 1 Tbsp Onion
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Peas
  • 1 tsp Carrot
  • 1 tbsp Capsicum
  • 1 As Required Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juices

Directions: Vermicilli Upma Recipe

  • STEP 1.firstly, in a kadai heat 3 tsp oil and splutter 1 tsp mustard, ½ tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal, 1 dried red chilli and few curry leaves.
  • STEP 2.also, add handful peanuts and roast till turn crunchy on low flame.
  • STEP 3.now add 1 inch ginger and 2 green chilli. saute well.
  • STEP 4.further, add 2 tbsp onion and saute slightly.
  • STEP 5.also add 2 tbsp peas, 2 tbsp carrot, 2 tbsp capsicum and 2 tbsp beans. saute for a minute.
  • STEP 6.additionally, add ½ tsp turmeric and ½ tsp salt. saute for a minute.
  • STEP 7.cover and cook for 2 minutes or till vegetables turn soft.
  • STEP 8.add in cooked semiya and mix gently. do not over mix as semiya will get mashed.
  • STEP 9.now add 2 tbsp coriander and ½ lemon. mix well.
  • STEP 10.finally, serve semiya upma with hot masala chai for morning breakfast.
