Ingredients for Vermicelli Upma Recipe

  • As required Cooking Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 5-6 Curry leaves
  • 250 gram Pea
  • 200 gram Beans
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1/2 cup Sprout
  • As required Tomato
  • As required Cashews
  • As required Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1 cup roasted vermicelli
  • As required Coriander

Directions: Vermicelli Upma Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Chop all the veggies(tomato, carrot, onion, and beans), also remove the pods and wash the pea and sprout.

step 2

  • STEP 2.If your vermicelli isn’t roasted. Dry roast the vermicelli.

step 3

  • STEP 3.In a pan heat 2tbsp of oil and add 1tsp mustard seed, 5-6 curry leaves, and onion, saute them.

  • STEP 4.Now add all the veggies except tomato and let the veggies cook for about 5-10 mins.

  • STEP 5.Now add the tomato and cook for more about 2mins.

  • STEP 6.Add the spices- ½tsp turmeric, ½tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, and salt to taste, mix them well.

  • STEP 7.Now add the 1 cup roasted vermicelli and mix it well with the masala and veggies.

step 8

  • STEP 8.Add 2 cups of water and cook it on high flame. Once it gets slightly to boiling, turn it into low flame and cover it for about 5-8mins.

  • STEP 9.And your super tasty, mouth-watering and loaded with veggies vermicelli upma is ready.

  • STEP 10.Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it.
