Ingredients for Vegetable rava idli Recipe

  • 1/2 cup semolina/rava
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 1/4 nos Finally chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 nos finally chopped carrot
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/2 nos green chilli
  • 1/4 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tablespoon Chana dal
  • 1/4 teaspoon Urad dal
  • 1/2 teaspoon eno fruit salt
  • As required salt to taste
  • As required Little bit of Cooking Oil

Directions: Vegetable Rava Idli Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take a mixing bowl, add rava, curd and salt into it, mix it well and let it rest for 1/2 an hour.
  • STEP 2.Add finely chop the capsicum,coriander leaves and green chillies. Grate the carrot as well.
  • STEP 3.After 1/2 an hour, add the chopped vegetables except green chillies and sufficient water in the idli batter to make a semi-thick consistency of batter.
  • STEP 4.Heat a steamer containing water,grease the idli moulds with oil, pour the idli batter in it and place the moulds into the steamer and cover it with its lid.
  • STEP 5.Cook it for 5 minutes on medium-high flame and then lower the flame and cook it for 10 minutes and then switch off the flame.
  • STEP 6.Take the moulds out of the steamer, keep it aside for 2 minutes to cool and then remove it from the moulds and then serve it with any chutney.
