Ingredients for Vegetable oats khichdi Recipe

  • 0.33 Cup instant oats
  • Sprig curry leaves
  • 0.33 Tsp chana dal
  • 0.33 Tsp urad dal
  • 0.33 Tbsp groundnuts
  • 0.33 Pinches pinch hing powder
  • 0.08 Cup chopped onions
  • 0.33 Tsp chopped green chillies
  • 0.33 Pieces red dry chilli
  • 0.33 Tsp grated ginger
  • 0.33 Pieces carrot
  • 0.67 Tbsp Sweetcorns
  • 1 Tbsp green peas
  • 0.67 Pieces medium tomatoes chopped
  • As Required As per taste Salt
  • 0.11 Tsp sugar
  • 0.33 Tsp pav bhaji masala
  • 0.17 Cups bowl water
  • 1.67 Cup Chilka daal cooked

Directions: Vegetable Oats Khichdi Recipe

  • STEP 1.First dry roast the oats until crisp. Be careful not to brown them too much. Remove and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.In the same pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil. Sesame oil works best for this recipe.
  • STEP 3.Add in mustard seeds and allow them to crackle. Add in the curry leaves.
  • STEP 4.Next, add in the chopped green chillies, garlic, and ginger followed by half of the onions. Cook until onions are translucent.
  • STEP 5.Add in the vegetables and cook until a bit tender.
  • STEP 6.Add in salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, jeera powder, dhania powder, and amchoor powder or lemon juice.
  • STEP 7.Add in the roasted oats ,cooked dal and mix well.
  • STEP 8.Add in a cup of water. Cook for a few minutes
  • STEP 9.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot....
  • STEP 10.Ready to serve.
