  • 0.67 tbsp Oil
  • 0.33 Pieces Bay leaf
  • 0.67 Pieces Cardamoms
  • 0.33 inch Cinnamon
  • 0.67 Pieces Cloves
  • 0.33 tsp Cumin(jeera)
  • 0.33 g pinch Asafoetida(hing)
  • 0.33 Pieces Onion finely chopped
  • 0.67 Pieces Chillies
  • 0.33 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Pieces Tomato finely chopped
  • as required Peas
  • 0.33 Pieces Carrot
  • 0.67 tbsp capsicum chopped
  • 0.33 g obhi
  • 0.33 Pieces Potato
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.33 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 0.17 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.17 tsp Garam masala
  • 0.17 cup Rice
  • 0.17 cup moong dal
  • as required water

Directions: Vegetable L Khichdi Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash rice and dal and drain water completely and keep them aside..Heat oil in a cooker add bay leaf,cardamom,cinnamon, clove and cumin seeds..... Now add chopped onion and saute well...then add green chilli,ginger garlic paste,hing and mix well... Now add chopped tomatoes and saute well...soft and mushy.. Then add peas,carrot,capsicum,potato,gobhi and mix well.... Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,salt,garam masala... Now add washed rice and dal..stir and mix well..
  • STEP 2.Then add water and Cover the lid of cooker and let it cook till three whistles....
  • STEP 3.Let the steam release..open the lid and stir the khichdi..serve hot with papad.....
