The seekh kabab recipe originates from Pakistan, Afghanistan and West Punjab cuisine and is typically prepared from minced meat. This recipe is a popular veg variation of traditional seekh kababs. Kebabs made from minced mutton and chicken meat, slathered in a bowl of spices and grilled to perfection. Full of juice and flavor, these kebabs are perfect as a starter for an amazing dinner party. Served with mint chutney and a side of onion rings and lemon wedges, you won't need anything else to start the party.

Ingredients for Veg Seekh Kabab Recipe

  • 5 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 No.s green chili
  • 2 tablespoon gram flour
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 No.s grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup Peas
  • 1/2 cup chopped beans
  • As required A Few Coriander leaves
  • As required A Few mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoon Cashews
  • 2 No.s pressure cooked Potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • pinch A chaat masala

Directions: Veg Seekh Kabab Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Heat some oil in a kadhai and add cumin seeds, onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and saute it well.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Now add gram flour and roast it for 2 minutes and add some vegetables to it.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Let it cool and then blend along with coriander, mint and cashews.

step 4

  • STEP 1.In a bowl add the blended masalas, mashed potatoes, salt, spices, lemon juice and bread crumbs.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Combine everything and make balls out of this mix. Keep in skewers and shape them. Heat some oil and fry the kebabs from all sides.
