Ingredients for Veg biriyani Recipe

  • 1/2 nos ▢½ cup basmati rice
  • 1 nos ▢ tbsp ghee
  • 1 nos ▢ tbsp oil
  • 1/2 nos ▢ tsp cumin
  • 1/2 nos ▢ bay leaf
  • As required ▢½ tsp pepper
  • As required ▢½ tsp cloves
  • 1/2 nos ▢ inch cinnamon
  • 1/2 nos ▢ javitri
  • 1 nos ▢ onion
  • As required Sliced
  • 1/2 nos ▢ ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 nos ▢ chilli
  • As required Chopped
  • 1/2 nos ▢ Carrot
  • As required Chopped
  • 1/2 nos ▢ potato
  • As required Cubed
  • 2.50 nos ▢ beans
  • As required Chopped
  • 1.50 nos ▢ tbsp peas
  • As required ▢½ capsicum
  • As required Cubed
  • 1/2 nos ▢ tomato
  • As required Chopped
  • As required ▢¾ cup curd
  • As required ▢½ tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 nos ▢ tsp chilli powder
  • 1 nos ▢ tsp biryani masala
  • 1/2 nos ▢ tsp salt
  • 1 nos ▢ tbsp coriander
  • As required Chopped
  • 1 nos ▢ tbsp mint
  • As required Chopped
  • 1 nos ▢½ cup water

Directions: Veg Biriyani Recipe

  • STEP 1.firstly, soak 1½ cup basmati rice for 20 minutes.
  • STEP 2.in a pressure cooker, heat 2 tbsp ghee and 2 tbsp oil.
  • STEP 3.add 1 tsp cumin, 1 bay leaf, ½ tsp pepper, ½ tsp cloves, 1 inch cinnamon and 1 javitri.
  • STEP 4.saute until the spices turn aromatic.
  • STEP 5.further add 2 onion, 1 ginger garlic paste and 1 chilli.
  • STEP 6.saute until the onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 7.also add 1 carrot, 1 potato, 5 beans, 3 tbsp peas, ½ capsicum and 1 tomato.
  • STEP 8.saute for 2 minutes or until the vegetables shrink slightly.
  • STEP 9.keeping the flame on low add ¾ cup curd and mix well.
  • STEP 10.add ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder, 2 tsp biryani masala, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp coriander and 2 tbsp mint.
  • STEP 11.saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
  • STEP 12.further, add 2½ cup water and get to a boil.
  • STEP 13.drain off the rice and add to the cooker.
  • STEP 14.mix gently without breaking the rice.
  • STEP 15.cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  • STEP 16.once the pressure is releases, fluff the rice gently without breaking the rice.
  • STEP 17.finally, enjoy biryani pulao recipe with raita, garnished with coriander leaves.
