  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds

  • 1.13 Ed Red Chilies
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Peel the raw bananas and slice them into thin rounds.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add curry leaves and sliced onions.
  • STEP 3.Saute the onions until they turn golden brown. Then add the sliced bananas and turmeric powder.
  • STEP 4.Cook the bananas until they are tender and slightly browned.
  • STEP 5.In a blender, grind together grated coconut, red chili, cumin seeds, and garlic cloves to make a paste.
  • STEP 6.Add the coconut paste to the cooked bananas and mix well. Cook for a few more minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Choose raw bananas that are firm and green in color.
  • To prevent the bananas from turning black after peeling, soak them in water with a little lemon juice.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili.
