How to Make Vazhakka Mezhukupuratti Recipe

STEP 01

1 grind into paste 1 onion and 2 garlic to form a paste

STEP 02

2 in a pan take 2.5 cups of sliced plantain, 2 sliced green chilli, ginger garlic paste, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 2 tbsp chilli flakes, a few curry leaves and ½ tsp pepper powder. Mix well

STEP 03

3 add a pinch salt to taste and ½ cup of water.

STEP 04

4 cover and cook on medium flame till the plantain becomes soft.

STEP 05

5 set another pan on the stove to prepare tempering.

STEP 06

6 add 2 tbsp oil, ½ tsp mustard seeds. When seeds splutter add ½ cup chopped onion, 7-8 garlics and a sprig of curry leaves.

STEP 07

7 saute for a minute and transfer the cooked plantain. Add 1 tsp of chilly powder and mix well.

STEP 08

8 stir cook on a medium-low flame till the plantains are crispy.
