A japanese recipe of varition of race cake. The traditional ice cream flavors used are vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Other flavors, such as Kona coffee, plum wine, green tea, and red bean, are also widely used. Mochi can also be flavored as a complement to the ice cream filling. Mochi is the thin layer of sweet dough that is wrapped around a center of scrumptious, premium ice cream. Mochi is made from a sweet rice flour that is pounded into a soft and chewy texture that melts in your mouth.

For Isobemaki

  • STEP 1.Cook mochi until its expanded and browned.
  • STEP 2.Dip the mochi in soy sauce and wrap with nori .

For Mochi with Grated Daikon

  • STEP 1.Cook mochi until its expanded and browned.
  • STEP 2.Grate the daikon and squeeze out the water.
  • STEP 3.Serve the cooked mochi and top with daikon, soy sauce and shichimi.

For Kinako Mochi

  • STEP 1.In a pot boil water to cook mochi.
  • STEP 2.mix kinako and sugar.
  • STEP 3.After the mochi is cooked add the kinako mixture and serve.
