  • 0.33 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and chop the brinjal into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and fenugreek seeds. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add the chopped brinjal and cook until it becomes soft.
  • STEP 5.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and tamarind pulp. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Cook for a few more minutes until the flavors blend together.
  • STEP 7.Finally, add the fenugreek leaves and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with rice or roti.

  • Choose small and tender brinjals for better taste and texture.
  • Make sure to remove any excess water from the brinjal after washing to prevent the dish from becoming watery.
