Ingredients for Vanilla Custard Tarts Recipe
- 37.50 g ram all purpose flour
- 25 g Unsalted butter
- 7.50 g Icing sugar
- 1/4 Pieces Egg Yolk
- 1/4 Tbsp ice cold water
- 0.06 Litre Heavy cream
- 1/2 Tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 Pieces egg yolks
- 7.50 g Granulated sugar/caster sugar
- 0.13 Tsp Cinnamon powder
- 1.50 Pieces cherries
How to Make Vanilla Custard Tarts Recipe
STEP 01
For Making Pastry:-In a bowl mix flour with icing sugar,then add butter cubes.Now incorporate butter into the flour and sugar.
STEP 02
Bring this flour together using chilled water.
STEP 03
Cover with a cling wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
STEP 04
Remove the dough from fridge after 30 minutes.Potion the dough and press to tart cases and trim the excess.
STEP 05
Refrigerate for another 15 minutes.
STEP 06
Pre-heat oven to 180°C and line each tart with foil and fill with baking weights or beans and bake for 15 minutes.
STEP 07
After that remove the foil and weights and bake for a further 5 minutes or until golden.Cool Completely.
STEP 08
For Making Custard:-Place the cream in saucepan and bring to a boil.Add in sugar and stir until it dissolves completely.Remove from the heat and cool completely.
STEP 09
Now add in egg yolks and vanilla essence and whisk to combine.
STEP 10
Strain the mixture through a fine mash sieve.
STEP 11
Then fill each tart base and bake for 20 minutes or until just cooked.,
STEP 12
Cool the tarts completely and demould them.
STEP 13
Dust with cinnamon powder and garnish with cherries on top.
STEP 14
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chilled.
STEP 15
Vanilla Custard Tarts are ready to serve.Tastes best when chilled.
