- 1/2 cup toor dal
- 1 Tomato
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric / haldi
- 1.50 cup Water
- As required Oil
- As required mustard / rai
- As required asaofetida
- 1 dried red chilli
- As required few curry leaves
- 2 green chilli, slit
- As required For vada
- 1 cup urad dal
- 1/2 cup tamarind extract
- 1/2 onion, petals
- 1/2 teaspoon jaggery / gud
- 1.50 cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tbsp sambhar masala
- 2 green chilli, finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger, finely choppedfew curry leaves, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon coriander, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon dry coconut
- 2 pinch hing / asafoetida tbsp rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- As required oil for deep frying
