  • 1 cup Chopped potato lengthwise
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 4 No.s Green chilli
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilly powder
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Coconut Oil

How to Make Urulakizhangu Mezhukupuratti Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

In a bowl add 1cup of chopped potato, 1 cup chopped onion,1 sprig of curry leaves, 4 green chillies split in half, ½ tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp chilli powder.

Mix all the ingredients together by hand. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.

STEP 01

Set a pan on the stove and turn on the flame. Add in 2 tbsp coconut oil and splutter 1 tsp of mustard seeds.

STEP 01

Mix the ingredients gently on the pan so that the potato doesn’t get broken or smashed.

STEP 01

Cook with the lid covered on for 3-4 minutes.

STEP 01

Add in the water residue to the pan from the bowl in which ingredients were kept aside. Mix well and continue stir cooking for another 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.
