Ingredients for Urad dal Recipe

  • 0.19 cup Urad Dal
  • 0.06 cup rajma
  • 1/4 Pieces piece Onions
  • 1/2 Pieces pieceTomatoes
  • 0.13 cup Fresh cream
  • 1/2 g piece Green chillies
  • 1/2 tbsp Ghee
  • a bunch Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 0.13 tsp Chilli powder
  • 0.13 tsp dried mango powder
  • 0.13 tsp Coriander powder
  • 0.13 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.13 tsp Cumin seeds powder
  • 2.50 g Ginger
  • as required water
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt

Directions: Urad Dal Recipe

  • STEP 1.Method-Soak urad dal and rajma overnight.
  • STEP 2.Drain off the excess water.
  • STEP 3.Cook dal,rajma, onion, ginger, salt and water in pressure cooker .
  • STEP 4.Allow the steam to escape and add cream in dal .
  • STEP 5.Cook for another 10 mins at low medium flame.
  • STEP 6.In another pan, heat ghee and add remaining onions, ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Saute till onions becomes translucent.
  • STEP 7.Add tomatoes and cook till oil leaves its sides.
  • STEP 8.Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, dry mango powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder and salt.
  • STEP 9.Cook for 2-3 mins.
  • STEP 10.Add the tempering over the dal now and cook for 5 more mins.
  • STEP 11.Top it with cream and butter .
  • STEP 12.garnish with ginger and coriander leaves . serve it with rice or chapati.
