  • 1/2 Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Green Chilies, Chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • as needed A Few Curry Leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Grated Coconut
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Saut茅 until fragrant.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste. Saut茅 until onions turn translucent.
  • STEP 3.Add grated coconut, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.Add water and bring it to a boil. Gradually add rice flour while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • STEP 5.Cook on low heat until the mixture thickens and forms a dough-like consistency.
  • STEP 6.Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Shape the dough into small balls or flatten them into discs.
  • STEP 7.Steam the balls or discs in a steamer for about 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with coconut chutney or yogurt.
