Ingredients for Undrallu Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Rice
  • 1/2 Litre Water litre
  • 1 teaspoon Chana dal
  • 1/2 teaspoon Hing
  • As required Salt
  • 5 gram Grated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee

Directions: Undrallu Recipe

  • STEP 1.Rinse and soak rice for 4-5 hours.
  • STEP 2.In a pan cook the soaked rice for 5 minute.
  • STEP 3.In a grinder add the cooked rice and make a coarse paste.
  • STEP 4.In a pan add water, 2 tbsp of chana dal, hing 1 tsp , salt, grated coconut and mix everything well.
  • STEP 5.Add ghee and cook for 2 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Now add the prepared rice paste in the pan and let it cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Turn the stove off and let the mix cool for a while.
  • STEP 8.Make small balls from the rice mix.
  • STEP 9.In a steamer stem the prepared rice balls for 10 - 12 minutes.
  • STEP 10.Serve in a plate and garnish with ghee.
