Ingredients for Ulavacharu Recipe

  • 4 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 8-10 Garlic Pods
  • 10-15 Curry Leaves
  • 3-4 Green Chillies
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 1 Tomato Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 cup Horse Gram Stock
  • 1 cup Tamarind Juice
  • 2 teaspoon REd Chilli Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • As required Water
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Coriander Leaves Chopped

Directions: Ulavacharu Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak the horse gram overnight

step 2

  • STEP 2.Drain the water and keep in a bowl

step 3

  • STEP 3.Heat the pan with 1 tbsp oil and add mustard and cumin seeds

step 4

  • STEP 4.Add garlic cloves,curry leaves and green chilies

step 5

  • STEP 5.Add sliced onion and diced tomatoes

step 6

  • STEP 6.Add turmeric powder and close the lid until the onions are soft

step 7

  • STEP 7.Add the drained horse gram water and tamarind juice

step 8

  • STEP 8.Add 2 tsp chili powder

step 9

  • STEP 9.Add salt to taste and coriander powder

step 10

  • STEP 10.Add water and cover cook for 5 mins

step 11

  • STEP 11.Add coriander leaves before serving
