Tzatziki is one of the classic Greek sauces. Tzatziki, cacık, or tarator is a dip, soup, or sauce found in the cuisines of Southeast Europe and the Middle East. It is made of salted strained yogurt or diluted yogurt mixed with cucumbers, garlic, salt, olive oil, sometimes with vinegar or lemon juice, and herbs such as dill, mint, parsley and thyme.

Ingredients for Tzatziki Recipe

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cucumber, diced

  • STEP 1.Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.

  • STEP 3.Open up each of the pita pocket breads so that it can be stuffed full of goodness.

step 4

  • STEP 4.Stuff full of the vegetable fillings, spread a little tzatziki sauce in there for flavor.
