  • 1/4 tablespoon roasted chana dal
  • 0.13 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 tablespoon Lemon juice

  • As required For White Chutney (Classic Coconut Chutney):
  • 0.13 cup grated coconut
  • 1/4 tablespoon roasted chana dal
  • 0.13 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.13 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 0-1/4 tablespoons Water (as needed)
  • As required For Orange Chutney (Carrot Coconut Chutney):
  • 0.13 cup grated carrot
  • 0.06 cup grated coconut
  • 1/4 nos Dried Red Chili
  • 0.13 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.13 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 0-1/4 tablespoons Water (as needed)
  • As required For Tempering (Optional
  • As required for extra flavor):
  • 1/4 teaspoon Oil
  • 0.13 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 0-1/4 nos Curry leaves
  • 1/4 nos Dried Red Chili

Directions: Tricolor Coconut Chutney | Tiranga Chutney Recipe for Special Occasions

  • STEP 1.1️⃣ Prepare Green Chutney:Blend coriander, coconut, green chili, ginger, roasted chana dal, salt, lemon juice, and water into a smooth paste.
  • STEP 2.2️⃣ Prepare White Chutney:Blend coconut, roasted chana dal, salt, cumin seeds, and water into a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.3️⃣ Prepare Orange Chutney:Lightly sauté grated carrot and dried red chili in 1/2 teaspoon oil.Blend it with coconut, salt, tamarind paste, and water into a smooth paste.
  • STEP 4.4️⃣ Assemble the Tricolor Chutney:Take a serving bowl and layer the orange chutney first.Gently add the white chutney in the middle.Finally, add the green chutney on top to create the Tiranga (tricolor) effect.
  • STEP 5.5️⃣ (Optional) Add Tempering:Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds, dried red chili, and curry leaves.Pour this over the chutney for an enhanced flavor.
