Ingredients for Torrijas Recipe

  • 1 Baguette
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sunflower Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1 Vanilla Bean
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 Eggs
  • As required Lemon peel

  • STEP 1.Using a little saucepan, add one cup of milk, one tbsp of sugar, a seasoning, a cinnamon stick and a few peel

  • STEP 2.Mix everything along and switch on your hearth to a medium heat

  • STEP 3.Once the milk begins to gently boil, flip the fireplace off

  • STEP 4.Using a sieve, pour within the milk mixture into a casserole dish

  • STEP 5.Grab a french bread and cut it in 1-inch thick diagonal slices

  • STEP 6.Using a little bowl, beat a pair of eggs

  • STEP 7.Grab a medium sized cooking pan, flip your burner on to a medium heat and add 1/2 cup of oil

  • STEP 8.While your oil is heating add the slices of bread to the casserole and coat them well with the milk

  • STEP 9.Once all the slices of bread are well coated add them one by one to the egg mixture and coat with the eggs

  • STEP 10.Once your oil gets hot, add the slices of bread to the pan in batches

step 11

  • STEP 11.Cook all sides of the bread for regarding a pair of minutes

  • STEP 12.After four minutes of cookery, transfer the cooked bread slices to a plate with a towel then to a replacement plate

  • STEP 13.Grab a little bowl and add one tbsp granulated sugar and one tsp cinnamon powder and blend along

step 14

  • STEP 14.Using a screen add the sugar and cinnamon combine and sprinkle on high of the cooked bread
