  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

  • 1 Dried Red Chilies
  • 1 Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Pressure cook toor dal with water, turmeric, and salt until soft.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped tomatoes, tamarind pulp, rasam powder, and cooked dal. Simmer for a few minutes and serve hot.

Cooking Tips

  • Adjust the consistency of rasam by adding more or less water.
  • You can garnish with fresh coriander leaves for added flavor.
