Ingredients for Tomato Soup With Beef And Noodles Recipe

  • As required Ingredients for pork marinade
  • 225 gram Porkrib eye or sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1.50 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 No.s Egg white
  • As required Ingredients for soup
  • 5 No.s Tomato blanched and finely diced
  • 3 Garlic minced cloves
  • 4 piece Ginger slices, cut into fine strips
  • 1/2 No.s Red onion diced fine
  • 1 stalk Scallion diced fine + green part kept separate for garnish
  • 2 No.s Red hot chillies dice fine
  • 100 bunch Needle mushroom separated into thinner gms
  • 1.50 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 2 As required Sugar or tbsp
  • 2.50 As required Lime juice or tbsp

Directions: Tomato Soup With Beef And Noodles Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Slice ½ lb rib eye or sirloin steak into thin slices and transfer to a bowl.
  • STEP 2.Add 1 tbsp soy sauce, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp onion powder, 1 ½ tbsp cornstarch, 1 egg white and mix well to ensure that the marinade coats each slice of beef well.
  • STEP 3.Over the beef and let it marinate for 20 minutes.
  • STEP 4.In a bowl place 5 tomatoes. With a sharp knife cut the skin in a cross mark on the surface of the tomato. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes in the bowl. Make sure all the tomatoes are covered by the water. Let them sit in the water for 4 minutes till cracks appear in the skin.
  • STEP 5.Take them out and peel of the skin.Dice the tomatoes into small pieces.
  • STEP 6.Dice ½ a red onion into small pieces and place in a bowl.
  • STEP 7.Dice the white part of 1 scallion and add it to the bowl with the onion.
  • STEP 8.Dice the green part and set aside for garnish.

  • STEP 10.Mince 3 cloves of garlic.
  • STEP 11.Cut 4 slices of ginger into thin strips and set it aside
  • STEP 12.Finely dice 2 red hot chillies (optional).
  • STEP 13.Cut off the stem of 100 gms needle mushroom (optional). Break apart the mushroom into smaller bunches.
  • STEP 14.In a hot vessel add 2 tbsp cooking oil, minced garlic, strips of ginger, dice red chillies, diced onion nd white scallion. Stir for a few minutes till the onion is translucent.
  • STEP 15.Then add 1 ½ tbsp tomato paste. Stir till well combined.
  • STEP 16. Add the 5 diced tomatoes and /12 tsp salt. Mix together.
  • STEP 17. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 18. After 10 minutes, add 3 cups of water or stock and bring it to a boil. Check for slatiness.
  • STEP 19.At this stage add 3 to 4 serving of dry noodles. Any kind of needle can be used for this recipe.
  • STEP 20.Cover and cook for about 8 minutes
  • STEP 21.When the noodles are cooked, add the needle mushrooms and mix it in.
  • STEP 22.Next add the marinated beef. Stir it to separate the beef pieces.
  • STEP 23.When the beef changes colour. Turn off the heat. Do not overcook the beef. It will continue to cook in the heat of the soup.
  • STEP 24.For the final seasoning, add 2 tbsp sugar or as per taste, 2 ½ tbsp lime juice. Adjust the sweet and sour balance according to taste.
  • STEP 25.Garnish with the chopped scallion and chopped coriander.
