#Tomato Shorba is a version of soup which is light in consistency. Tomato dhania shorba is a Indian version of tomato soup which is spicy, light and delicious. It is made with tomatoes, coriander stems and some khada masala. Generally it is made during winter and rainy season.

Ingredients for Tomato dhania shorba Recipe

  • 2.50 pieces Roughly chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup cup coriander
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon whole dhania seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper corn
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • 1/2 Pieces Bay leaf
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon stick
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Pieces green chili

Directions: Tomato Dhania Shorba Recipe

  • STEP 1.Crush whole dhania seeds, cumin seeds and black pepper corn coarsely in mortar and pestle separately. Crush garlic cloves with skin and ginger coarsely.

  • STEP 2.In.a pan heat oil. Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, crushed above masala, garlic and ginger. Saute for sometimes.

  • STEP 3.Add roughly chopped tomatoes, coriander stems and green chili. Add chopped coriander leaves, salt and turmeric powder. Stir well.

  • STEP 4.Cook until tomatoes turns soft and mashy. Then add 3 cups water. Stir it. Cover with lid and cook on low flame for atleast 25-30 minutes.

  • STEP 5.Then strain mixture properly by pressing with spoon.

  • STEP 6.Tomato dhania shorba is ready to serve. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and enjoy hot .
