  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions and saut茅 until they turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and saut茅 for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  • STEP 5.Add soaked and drained rice to the pan and mix well with the tomato mixture.
  • STEP 6.Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it cook until the rice is tender and cooked through.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with raita or yogurt on the side.
