The tangy tomato stew has chunks of chicken and carrots that is mildly flavoured with dried herbs and infused with some fresh basil leaves. Serve the curry along with butter garlic rice and sauteed vegetables to make a meal.

Ingredients for Tomato Basil Chicken Curry Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 Garlic chopped cloves
  • 1 Onion finely chopped Nos
  • 2 Carrotscut diagonally Nos
  • 1 Chicken breast cut into chunks Nos
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • As required Salt
  • As required Basil leaves

Directions: Tomato Basil Chicken Curry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a preheated pan add 1tbsp olive oil, 4 cloves garlic chopped, 1 onion finely chopped, salt to taste. Saute for a few minutes till onions are soft.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 then add 2 carrots cut diagonally, 1 chicken breast cut into chunks, 1 cup tomato puree, salt to taste. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.

  • STEP 3.3 then add 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp paprika powder, 1 tsp sugar. Mix well.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 add 1 cp of water. Cover and cook on simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 add torn basil leaves as desired. Check for salt. Stir for a few seconds. Turn off the heat.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 tomato basil chicken curry is ready.
