A delicious and wholesome stir fry of pork belly, tofu and mushrooms tossed together in a glossy sauce. Pork and Tofu in Oyster Sauce is a simple dinner recipe composed of pork loin and fried tofu. There is a lot of wonderful flavor going-on with this dish, and it has a nice texture too.

Ingredients for Tofu Stir Fry With Seared Pork Belly Recipe

  • 1/2 inch Tofu cut into thick cubes 2 cups
  • 3 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger and garlic chopped
  • 1/2 inch Pork belly cut into less than thick slices 6 to 8 oz
  • 1/2 cup Zucchini slivered
  • 1 cup Chinese mushrooms or regular mushrooms sliced
  • 1/2 cup Chinese black fungus
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 1.50 inch Green onions cut into long 0.5 cup
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch water ‘ cornstarch + 0.25 cup water

Directions: Tofu Stir Fry With Seared Pork Belly Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.slice 2 cups tofu into ½ inch thick cubes.

step 2

  • STEP 1.heat a pan on medium heat and add 3 tbsp oil. Add the cubed tofu to the oil and grill on medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes on each side.

  • STEP 1.once done remove from the pan and keep aside.

step 4

  • STEP 1.heat a wok on medium heat and add 2 tbsp oil. Let it get hot.

  • STEP 1.then add 1 tbsp chopped ginger and garlic. Stir fry till fragrant. Push them to one side of the wok.

  • STEP 1.then add 6 to 8 oz of pork belly cut into less than ½ inch thick slices.

  • STEP 1.turn the heat to high and sear the pork on both sides till slightly golden brown.

  • STEP 1.add ½ cup slivered zucchini, 1 cup sliced chinese mushrooms or regular mushrooms, ½ cup chinese black fungus, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce. Stir and mix all the ingredients together to combine well.

  • STEP 1.add ½ cup green onions cut 1 ½ inch long. Mix together.

  • STEP 1.next add the fried tofu to the wok and turn the heat to medium and gently mix the ingredients together.

  • STEP 1.add 1 cup water. Cover the wok with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.

  • STEP 1.12 then mix 1 tbsp cornstarch in ¼ cup water and add this cornstarch water to the wok. Stir well till the sauce thickens.

step 13

  • STEP 1.toss well to ensure that the pork and tofu are well coated with the glossy sauce. Serve hot
