How to Make Tofu Mushrooms In Ginger Mustard Sauce Recipe

step 1


In a small mixing bowl add 2 tbsp cornflour and 1 cup of water. Mix well till the cornflour has dissolved and there are no lumps in the mixture.

Add 2 tbsp dijon mustard, 1 tbsp soy sauce and stir well. Add 1 tbsp coarsely pounded black peppercorns. Add a little salt to taste.

In a heavy bottom pan and 1 tsp of oil, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp sesame seeds. Roast in the oil for a few seconds till the splutter.

Next add 1 finely chopped red bell pepper, 2 inch ginger grated. Stir fry for about 1 minute, then add 8 to 10 quartered mushrooms and saute on high heat till mushrooms begin to give out moisture.this will take about 1 minute.

At this stage add in 1 cup diced tofu and stir fry for another minute. Finally stir in the prepared mustard sauce and allow the mixture to simmer in the sauce till the sauce thickens. Taste for salt and adjust accordingly.
