Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 3.Once the seeds start to splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tindora and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are slightly tender.
  • STEP 5.Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan.
  • STEP 6.Add water, salt, turmeric powder, and mix well.
  • STEP 7.Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
