Til Pitha is sweet delicacy of Assam . A winter speciality, it is often the highlight of the festival of Magh Bihu. Filled with gur (jaggery) and til (sesame) it’s a winter delight through and through. This dish has the perfect balance of a snacky crunch and mouthwatering softness ensuring that both our bellies and hearts are left content and comforted during the winter months!

Ingredients for Til Pitha Recipe

  • 1/5 kg ) Bora Saul ( sticky rice from Assam ) .
  • 50.20 gm ) Til ( black seasame seeds througly washed drained the water )
  • 25.30 gm ) Gur ( jagerry ).

Directions: Til Pitha Recipe

  • STEP 1.First of all roast the washed and water drained seasame seeds . Then grind it slightly . Prepare a mixture with the grinded seasame seeds and jaggery for stuffing .
  • STEP 2.Wash the sticky rice then drain the from it properly . After that grind it properly . Strain and with that strained powdered sticky rice flour we have to prepare pithas .
  • STEP 3.First of all take one ladle of rice flour . Spred it in round shape in a hot tawa . Now add a littlt amount of the prepared til stuffing at the center . Fold it as shown in the picture . For long time storing use dry air tight container and keep pitha in refrigerator .
  • STEP 4.Ready to serve .
