It is a traditional Tibetan soup with bhasta noodles cooked in chicken stock and vegetables.This recipe is a common Tibetan cuisine noodle soup that includes small bhasta noodles.This dish is a common soup made in the winter but is especially important for Tibetan New Year.This recipe is made up with special ingredients.

Ingredients for Thukpa Bhatuk Recipe

  • As required Ingredients for dough
  • 1 cup Flour
  • As required Water
  • As required Salt
  • As required Ingredients for Thukpa
  • 2 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 250 gram Chicken
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 4 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 No.s Onion
  • 2 No.s Tomatoes
  • 2 cup Spinach

Directions: Thukpa Bhatuk Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a mixing bowl add 1 cup of flour and water a little at a time to make a dough. Knead well till the dough comes together and is smooth and firm. Portion the dough into large balls and roll them between the palms of the hands to make thin long rope about 1 ½ cm thick. Break this into tiny pieces and roll into marble sized oval balls.

  • STEP 2.2 preheat a pan and add 2 tsp olive oil. When the oil gets hot add 1 tbsp chopped ginger, 4 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp salt chopped and fry till brown.

  • STEP 3.3 add 1 sliced onion and saute till they are soft.

  • STEP 4.4 then add 250 gms boneless chicken cut into small pieces and fry till cooked.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 add 3 cups of water and stir well.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 add 2 large tomatoes chopped, 3 cups of chopped spinach and stir.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 turn the heat to high and let the thukpa boil till spinach wilts.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 after a few minutes add the prepared balls of dough. Continue to cook on high heat till the dough is cooked.
