Ingredients for Brahmi Thambli Recipe

  • 1/4 cup Brahmi Leaves
  • 0.06 cup Grated Coconut
  • 0.63 En Chilies
  • 0.13 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Oil
  • 0.13 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • as needed A Few Curry Leaves

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and clean the Brahmi leaves.
  • STEP 2.In a blender, grind the Brahmi leaves, coconut, green chilies, and cumin seeds to a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.In a bowl, whisk yogurt and add the ground paste. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.In a small pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 5.Pour the tempering over the thambli and mix well.
  • STEP 6.Serve with rice or as a side dish.

Cooking Tips

  • You can adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer green chilies.
  • Make sure to wash the Brahmi leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities.
  • You can add a pinch of asafoetida (hing) to enhance the flavor.
