  • STEP 2.In a blender, blend the roasted chana dal, grated coconut, green chilies, tamarind, and salt into a coarse paste.
  • STEP 3.Prepare the tempering by heating oil and adding mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Pour it over the chutney.
  • STEP 4.Serve the Thengai Thuvaiyal with dosa, idli, vada, or rice.

  • You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less green chilies.
