curry This is a traditional kerala dish. Here i have made with shallots and bittergourd.a spicy tangy curry goes well with steamed rice. There are many variations regarding the veggies used. Some combo are yam and banana,Shallots Bittergourd,drumsticks etc .

Ingredients for Theeyal Recipe

  • 0.17 cup Shallits
  • 16.67 g Bittergourd
  • 0.08 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.08 tsp Red chilly piwder
  • 0.17 tbsp Corriander seeds
  • 1 Pieces Shallots
  • 1/2 Pieces kashmiri red chilly
  • 1/2 Tsp Red chilly
  • 0.33 Sprigs Curry leaves
  • 0.17 tbsp Oul
  • 0.08 tsp Mustard
  • 1/2 tbsp Shallots sliced
  • A Stalk Curry leaves
  • 0.33 Pieces Red chilly
  • 0.33 Cups Coconut grated
  • 0.33 tsp Tamarind paste/pulp

Directions: Theeyal Recipe

  • STEP 1.Grate the coconut.
  • STEP 2.Heat a pan.put coconut grated,corriander seeds,red chilly ,shallots,and curry leaves and dry fry till coconut turns dark brown.cool and grind to a paste.
  • STEP 3.In a pan add 1tsp oil and saute the shallots and bittergourd cut to 1 " pieces.
  • STEP 4.To this add turmeric powder,chilly powder salt and tamarind paste and cook .
  • STEP 5.Add the coconut paste and adjust seasoning.
  • STEP 6.Cook till the gravy is thick.
  • STEP 7.Heat oil in a pan.
  • STEP 8.Add mustard,red chillt,and sgallirs sluced and curry keaves and saute poyr this on the curry.
  • STEP 9.Mix and serve with steamed rice
