  • 1/20 cup Bajra Flour
  • 1/20 cup Wheat Flour
  • 1/5 tablespoon Besan
  • 1/10 Onion, Chopped
  • 1/5 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 1/20 inch Ginger, Grated
  • 1/5 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/20 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/20 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/10 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine jowar flour, bajra flour, wheat flour, besan, chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a soft dough.
  • STEP 3.Divide the dough into small portions and flatten them into round discs.
  • STEP 4.Heat a tawa or griddle and cook the thalipeeth on both sides until golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or chutney.

Cooking Tips

  • You can add grated vegetables like carrots or spinach to make it more nutritious.
  • If the dough is too sticky, you can dust the discs with flour while flattening.
  • Thalipeeth tastes best when served hot.
