A healthy and crunchy salad of raw papaya, tossed with fresh coriander leaves and crushed peanuts. The unique mixture of sweet, sour and spicy which features in a number of Indian dishes is something that is a Thai speciality. There are a plethora of options in Thai cuisine such as Pad Thai noodles, which are made with very specific ingredients and cooking methods. However, there are a few simpler dishes in the cuisine as well which you can recreate with ingredients that are easily available at home. Ingredients for Thai Raw Papaya Salad Recipe

  • 3 cup Raw papaya
  • 3 No.s Bird red chillies
  • bunch Coriander leaves A
  • 2 No.s Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • 1/2 cup Roasted peanuts
  • As required Salt

Directions: Thai Raw Papaya Salad Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In the jar of the food processor add the grater blade and grate raw papaya to get 3 cups grated papaya for the salad. Transfer this to a mixing bowl.

step 2

  • STEP 1.To the grated papaya add 2 thai bird red chillies and 1 green chile chopped, 1 small bunch coriander leaves chopped.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add 1/2 cup roasted and crushed peanuts, salt to taste and toss salad ingredients together.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add 2 tbsp honey and juice of 1 or 2 lemons. Mix well and combine all the ingredients.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Thai papaya salad is ready.
